Using ASUS Chromebook, Intel Core i3-1115G4, 8GB DDR4 RAM, ChromeOS 103.0.5060.132
Linux penguin 5.10.114-16025-ge75506b9d98e #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jul 16 18:54:29 PDT 2022 x86_64 GNU/Linux
USB-C to standalone Feather.
Can successfully download to and run circuitpython sketches on Feather.
Now trying to install WipperSnapper...
Downloaded wippersnapper.feather_esp32s2.1.0.0-beta.42.uf2
Press feather reset button twice. ChromeOS File Manager shows "FTHRS2BOOT" device drive.
Drag-n-drop uf2 on that drive. Feather Neo light blinks yellow for a few seconds then turns solid green.
Copy result: "Copy operation failed. The file or directory is unusable."
There is no WIPPER drive.
Please suggest help ideas.

I believe I'm experiencing the same or similar problem. I've also created a post: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=193579

Re: ESP32-S2 Feather WipperSnapper Does Not Install
I found this webpage with other wippersnapper uf2 releases: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Wi ... o/releases
Tried installing releases going back to beta 37.
All fail in same way.
Still need help, please.

Are you able to install CircuitPython on the Feather ESP32-S2 from ChromeOS?
There are instructions for this here: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-esp ... cuitpython

Re: ESP32-S2 Feather WipperSnapper Does Not Install
Fixed. Followed factory reset procedure and reinstalled uf2 bootloader. Reinstalled wipper beta uf2. But I think the trick was to use a variant SSID in secrets.json. Verified with LED component.

Sorry, what is a variant SSID? Is this another WiFi network?

I believe that I have the same issue. Not sure what you mean by variant SSID.
Can you give some more detail about how you resolved the issue?

Re: ESP32-S2 Feather WipperSnapper Does Not Install
WiFi routers often publish multiple SSIDs. Mine has a 5 gigabit ssid and a 2.4 ssid. I switched to 2.4.
But I have another problem in circuitpython. The adafruit-circuitpython-adafruit_feather_esp32s2-en_US-7.3.2 board module should have board.ESP_CS, board.ESP_BUSY, board.ESP_RESET, but it does not. Makes it difficult to access adafruitio. Not in Adafruit CircuitPython 8.0.0-alpha.1 either.

Re: ESP32-S2 Feather WipperSnapper Does Not Install
Thank you for the tip, my router has a single SSID name for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFi networks. I tested the theory using the CircuitPython Internet Test https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-esp ... ernet-test article. When trying to connect the device to the network with the SSID that has both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands enabled, it fails. I created a new, 2.4 GHz only, WiFi network, and I was able to connect.mbd wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 7:37 pm WiFi routers often publish multiple SSIDs. Mine has a 5 gigabit ssid and a 2.4 ssid. Sorry that I can't help with missing items you mention above.
