data logger shield for Metro Mini, Mini V2

Post by earthres »

I'm not sure this is the right forum for this, but...

I saw just today about the new Metro Mini V2 which, like the original Metro Mini, looks to the Arduino IDE just like an UNO. The nicest new feature in the V2 is the ability to switch to 3.3 V power/logic. My HOPE for these very nice boards is that you will come up with an RTC/SD card data logging shield, much like you have done for the Feather boards. That would make it possible for these boards to serve as a more complete replacement for the physically larger UNOs, while keeping the UNO coding compatibility for the (millions?) of UNO users. As I'm sure you're aware, it's possible to find RTC/SD data logging shields for Nanos, which greatly extends the usefulness of those old boards.

Any prospects for that happening?

My bad about the original vs the V2 Metro Mini. The original Metro Mini also has the ability to be switched to 3.3V power/logic. Wanting a data logging shield still applies to both versions!
