Trinket M0 USB issue

Post by hans61 »

I bought two Trinket M0 on eBay from the seller berrybase. I connected it to the USB in Windows 10. One works as expected, providing a COM port and a drive.
The second one doesn't, no COM port, no drive.
When starting, the RGB LED first lights up red then green and then it starts flashing twice long and four times short and again from the beginning. The red LED (pin 13) stays off.
If I double-click reset, the RGB lights up red continuously and the red LED quickly pulses in brightness.
Is there a way to revive the Trinket M0 or does it need to be replaced?

Thanks.

When you double-press reset, does a TRINKETBOOT mount?

No. If I double-press reset, nothing happens, only the blinking of the LED changes. No drive (TRINKETBOOT?) no COM port. Not on windows 10 and not on debian.

Thanks.

You're using the same cable to test each of them? Same USB port? I.e. plug into the working Trinket and see it work, remove it and plug into the failing one and see it fail?

Yes, that's exactly how it is, the same cable and the same USB connection. The working Trinket provides a COM port (COM13) and a CIRCUITPY (G:) drive. With the other only the flashing LED's nothing else.

Thanks.

OK. Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread, your order number, and request the replacement of one Trinket M0.
