Connecting Pixies

Post by mjk7ha »

Hey,
I am trying to connect Pixies as on the tutorial:
https://learn.adafruit.com/pixie-3-watt ... s/assembly

For my wire I picked https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AB ... UTF8&psc=1 so a wire is even thinner than in the tutorial (aka 12AWG vs 10AWG), however, there is no way to fit all strands into the hole on Pixie. Is it cause the more stranded the wire is, the thicker it is (or maybe because it is tinned?). I could not find any conclusive answer on the internet on that ;/

Hmm...looks like the guide mentions two different AWGs for "thick hefty wires". Both 10AWG and 16AWG are mentions. Based on 16AWG being referenced in line with the assembly photos:
https://learn.adafruit.com/pixie-3-watt ... ep-1474137
that's likely what was used there.
