Is it safe to use STEMMA QT in our products?

We are considering a product that pulls out GPIO as an expansion kit for the RP2040 and controls sensors, etc. via STEMMA QT.
Is there any problem to install STEMMA QT on the original product?
Also, is it safe to use STEMMA QT for digital or analog signals, not just for I2C connections?

Stemma represents our initiative to be compatible with boards from different manufacturers and we encourage others to do so as well.
