AT42QT1010 Help

Post by BigFellor »

Hello all. This is my first project and may be a simple solution but I'm stuck.

I'm using an adafruit sound board to play audio when a touch button is pressed. For the life of me I can't get the button wired correctly. It works, the led lights when pressed. The audio works but it just constantly plays the two clips I have loaded over and over without the button being pressed.

Ground from the audio board is running to ground from the switch. Pin 1 from the audio board (T01RAND0.WAV / T01RAND1.WAV) goes to....? At the moment I have it to the "out" pin on the switch and that results in sound being played continuously unless I hold the button. What am I missing?

How are you connecting the audio player to the switch? You don't show any connection to the out pad.

That's what I'm trying to figure out.

VIN/GND from the breakout board for power. Ground on the audio board to ground. Pin 1 on the audio board is going to "out" on the button. It plays continually unless I hold the button down.

The trigger pins on the Fx board are active LOW, but the output of the AT42QT1010 is active HIGH.

The AT42QT1070 has active LOW outputs and would work better with the Fx board:
