Mike,

I ran the code with only one line un-commented line at a time. So the seconds numbers are correct.

I was in a hurry when I sent it. I had just been called for dinner and my wife had made chili from scratch with cornbread. So I had not proofread it before send.

Bruce,

I understand, chili first.

We should focus on what needs to go into a CircuitPython issue. I'd like you to open if you do not mind. Maybe the minimal code.py with the /sd/lib path appendage and a /sd/lib that contains the current bundle. That should be enough to see the initial lag, correct?
