I would like to help blind students by making a low cost multi-line braille display that is also capable of setting the display pins to multiple heights to display tactile images. To limit actuator costs, heights of display pins will be set one scan line at a time but I have not yet settled on the actuators to be used in that scan line.
Does anyone know of a commercially available piezoelectric linear actuator like the one animated in the Wikipedia article about bimorphs?
