I am trying to setup my Feather ESP32-S3 to connect and send data to Adafruit.IO using the open network at my school.
The wifi setup and connecting to Adafruit.IO happens through the single command:
This is using the example for adafruit_22_environmental_monitor in Adafruit IO Arduino code. It works fine on my home network with a define WIFI_SSID and WIFI_PASS, but if I set the password to null "" it never connects on the open network. I'm pretty sure the Wifi is failing to connect and that it isn't adafruit.io being blocked on that network, but I'm not sure how to test that since the connections are all happening behind the scenes.
My backup would be to use the eduroam network, but that requires an SSID,
USERNAME and PASSWD which I don't see how to define in Adafruit.IO.
All help appreciated.
