I've been playing with some of the Adafruit BLE nRF51 Bluefruit and BLE Friend boards on and off over the last few years. Some time in the past I vaguely remember hearing the nRF51 bootloader code that runs on these is not open source, is this true?
I've searched thru Adafruit product documentation and this forum and have not been able to find any info on it.
BLE Bootloader Code?

Re: BLE Bootloader Code?
Yes, nRF51 is not open source, but nRF52 is out there.
viewtopic.php?p=942209&hilit=nordic+nrf ... ce#p942209
Code: Select all
we could not release the source code as it is intermixed with NDA files from nordic and they would not release us from the NDA (we asked many times) nRF52 isnt encumbered!
