Official Raspberry Pi 4 Case Fan and Heatsink Fan making loud noises

Post by naxthor »

Hello, I recently purchased a Official Raspberry Pi 4 Case Fan and Heatsink, and the Fan is making insane noise. I have another one that I've been running 24/7 for a month and it does not make the same noise. The fan is sounding like a jet engine. How can I go about getting a replacement fan?

We can try a replacement, but before doing so go ahead and try to adjust he tension on the screws holding the fan in place. We have had multiple reports in the forums of having the screws too tight causes the blades to make contact and results in a noise fan.
