Adafruit 2342 to 3006 wiring

Post by elcaiman80 »

I am trying to get sound in a project I have. I have already bought the 2342 sound board and the amp 3006. I need to know the wiring diagram of connecting the 2342 soundboard to the 3006 amp. I know the Vin and grnd for the amp board, I need how to wire the r/l and negative from the 2342 to the 3006 amp. Fairly new here, pls help. Thanks
William

On the sound board you want the pins L (left channel), R (right channel), and GND.

3006 is an I2S amplifier. It won't work with the sound board which outputs an analog audio signal. You need something like https://www.adafruit.com/product/1552. For that board L on the soundboard goes to L+ on the amp, R to R+, and ground to both L- and R-.

So what type of soundboard can I use with the 3006?

Thank you very much.

You'll need something with I2S audio output. For example, the Feather M4 Express https://www.adafruit.com/product/3857. Here's a project using the Featehr M4 Express and the MAX98357A I23S amp: https://learn.adafruit.com/walkmp3rson- ... ape-player.
