Windows not recognizing Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM96 LoRa Radio - 433MHz

Post by Robert_C »

There was another thread, about seven years ago, on this issue. However, it is plaguing me now. I am using a known good data cable. I am able to send sketches to a Micro using the same cable.

Following the directions here, I was able to get Adafruit 32u4 Breakout to show up in the board manager. However, there is still no com port assigned.

What version of Windows are you running?

You were following the Feather M0 instructions, but you have a 32u4 RFM96. This board needs the SiLabs and FTDI driver installed.

I am running:

Version 21H2
Installed on ‎11/‎14/‎2020
OS build 19044.2251
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

Okay, so Win10 might not need the driver, but since you are having and the documentation can be read either way make sure you try installing the drivers.
