40 pins tft lcd on rasberrypi 2011.12

Post by Ssaiyan »

Hi guys, new to this and already making mistake for my project to build for me a portable console with my old rasberry pi 2011.12. I bought by newb mistake this 4.3 tft lcd 40 pins connector: https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/deta ... P/11476261

Without hesitation I found on here the adapter 40 pins to IDC Female Socket Header: https://www.adafruit.com/product/4905

To my great surprise, my rasberry pi have 26 gpio pins. So now I really know at this point that i'm making mistake after mistake to connect that lcd to the rasberry. Now I'm seeing this cable on here that convert 40 pins to 26: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1986

Am I doing another mistake by doing so to the point that I will never be able to connect that 40 pins lcd to my 26 pins gpio ? If so, I will know there is no further step to make it works.

Thanks for your kind help!
