Hello! I recently purchased an ST-2065D soldering iron from Mouser (a few weeks ago now). I have been in contact with them and they sent me here.
Its not working unfortunately. I plugged it in and the digital readout came on and displayed a quick rising and falling of temperature, and then displayed an error (sensor error according to the manual). The end of the soldering iron became slightly hot, but not for very long, and then it did nothing.
I have turned it on for testing, over a few days, just in case it was a temporary error, but its still not working. Now it turns on but displays the error straight away. I have attached some photos for your perusal.
I am wondering what to do now? Is there some way to restore its functionality, or will a replacement be needed?
I am in Australia. I look forward to hearing from you. Chris

This product should be able to work at 120v or 220v based on the manual so you being an Australia using some sort of plug adapter should not be an issue.
Sometimes due to shipping the tips needs to be unscrewed and re-align the heating element then tighten it up. Obviously do this when the iron has been off for a long period of time so nothing is hot.
The ATTEN site does mention the S-E error. It means there is a fault with the temperature sensor / sensor-circuit.

The Adafruit product page mentions contacting ATTEN about support issues. It might be worth checking with them. If you get stuck we will work with you.

sorry about the BANNED stuff the forum is doing to the site links just use ATTEN in place of that.

Great.
I will try unscrewing the tip, and see how I go. Hopefully Atten can sort this out for me.
Thank for the reply!
