Small wearable Badge capturing motion and video

Post by x27liang »

Need some help building a small wearable badge that captures both motion and video for motion analysis. No need for on-board real-time analysis. We will use wearables to record the data and analyze it later. What components can do this? Will portenta H7 be a good choice? Want to make this small and lightweight. Anyone has similar experiences? Thanks! Any comments are much appreciated!

There is a guide for making a wearable time lapse camera with the Pi. That would be a good refernce for all the power, enclosure and hardware requirements for such a device. It offers a technique for merging stills into video/gifs. You could also use different software utilities for recording video (raspicam, picamera, pirecord, etc) instead of raspistill for images.
