Raspi Tiny Thermal Printer - Use as a proper thermal printer

Post by cfx »

Hello! I'm planning to use the Tiny Thermal Printer (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2751) for a school project which would need QR codes generated on the fly - which, as I have understood from the learn tutorial, is not supported via the python code. Question is, if I hook the printer up via USB to a Raspberry Pi, can I either use it as a "normal" printer to print a pdf with specific size (55mm to w/e) or use node modules that send ESC/POS commands (such as https://www.npmjs.com/package/node-thermal-printer) with it?

You can get the USB version of the tiny thermal printer and use it with the Raspberry Pi to print PDFs.

There is a guide for this:
