Writing a NeoTrellis Extension for Makecode/Blocks?

Post by ChantelleJoy »

Honest replies only, sorry if it's a stupid question.

Can someone tell me if it's possible to hire someone to convert the NeoTrellis CircutPython Libraries into Makecode/Blocks to work with the Makecode Seesaw Extension?

Basically I'd like to be able to code for the 4x4 NeoTrellis using similar blocks as the ones set up at maker.makecode beta for the M4 4x8 (as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTx3vW11vBY). Or I suppose adapt the code from that beta to be able to use it with the 4x4 NeoTrellis ?

I'm trying to introduce my daughter to a wide range of devices she can use with her microbit, and she LOVES Makecode Blocks - isn't ready to delve into text yet - really would love to get the NeoPixel working for her in makecode.

Hi, it seems feasible that someone could write a 4x4 NeoTrellis block for MakeCode on micro:bit, possibly based on the seesaw extension. You may want to also ask around on https://forum.makecode.com/ as well as posting on jobs.adafruit.com
