MetroESP32-S2 WiFi Connection Test

Post by EBCrp »

I am working through set up for Arduino IDE. I get up to the WiFi Connection Test with only minor issues but when I load this sketch - it loads with no issue but nothing appears in the Serial monitor - I mean nothing...no searching, no error, etc. I put in the WiFi network and I put in the network password between the quotes. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!!

From the Arduino IDE Setup page for the Metro ESP32-S2 does this apply to you?
The ESP32-S2/S3 bootloader does not have USB serial support for Windows 7 or 8. (See https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/5994) please update to version 10 which is supported by espressif! Alternatively you can try this community-crafted Windows 7 driver (https://github.com/kutukvpavel/Esp32-Win7-VCP-drivers)
