Higher data request rates?

Post by AOMIOTBITSTAFF »

Hi there -

I am a teaching assistant for a class at the University of Pittsburgh called "The Art of Making: Introduction to Hands-On Systems of Design and Engineering." We love Adafruit - we use tons of Adafruit products every semester and show your company culture to our students. In particular, we use Circuit Playground Bluefruits and a host of other components for our Wearable technology projects.

Another TA and I are designing a device called the "AoM IoT Bit," which allows students to quickly prototype IoT applications. We are using Adafruit IO as our cloud service currently. We'd like to set up a bunch of feeds in one Adafruit IO account and have each feed connected to a few IoT bits so students don't have to go about making their own accounts.

The problem is that even if we were to purchase Adafruit IO+, we are limited to 60 data requests/minute for the entire account. Is there any arrangement that we can make with you Adafruit folks to boost our data requests to something like 360 data requests/minute?

Thank you.

No need to make an arrangement, this is something we already support! The Data Rate can be boosted in 10 points per minute increments for $2 per month or $24 per year. Data Storage can be boosted in 30 day increments for $5 per month or $60 per year.

You can start the process by clicking “Change your IO+ plan” on your account's billing page (https://io.adafruit.com/billing).

There's a full explanation of the Plus Plan upgrades here: https://io.adafruit.com/blog/notebook/2 ... -upgrades/

Let me know if you need anything else clarified.
