Hi I am using the SCD-30 - NDIR CO2 Temperature and Humidity Sensor to monitor a mushroom growing environment, the humidity is very high (90%) and I don't expect an un-coated component would last long.
I want to paint the sensor with a conformal coating but I don't know what areas to avoid so that the sensor continues to read CO2, humidity, and temperature.
Is there a drawing that shows areas I should avoid?
Thanks in advance

Re: Conformal coating SCD-30
Take a look at the Design-in guidelines document:
https://sensirion.com/media/documents/8 ... nes_D1.pdf
It shows the temperature/humidity and CO2 openings on the first page.

Re: Conformal coating SCD-30
Just wanted to update this post with what I learnt from applying Conformal coating to the SCD-30.
The sensor was in some way damaged or the calibration was thrown off by something about the process. Maybe the solvent fumes from the coating or maybe the black light I used to check coverage of the coating. I read the spec of the SCD-40, different sensor I know, but interestingly it points out how the solvent fumes can cause issues with that sensor. I am presuming the SCD30 is similar.
The conformal coating I used was - 422C Conformal Coating - Silicone with UV Indicator

Re: Conformal coating SCD-30
Try running the sensor in clean air for a few days.
You're right that the sensing path has probably picked up some VOCs. They should diffuse out over time.
