I just received an RP2040 Trinket from Adafruit (order ##3002290-2736838303). I plugged it in an USB A port but it is not recognized by the computer (i.e. no new USB device or port shows up under Windows Device Manager). Yes, I plugged it in the correct way (with the gold fingers facing the receptable contacts) and I tried it in multiple computers. Also, no LED comes active on the board.
I also tried any combination of RESET and Boot buttons but it doesn't make a difference.
I am pretty sure this board is dead.
How do I get it replaced?

Re: RP2040 Trinket not working
No LED activity on the board is concerning.
I don't expect this to do anything, but just in case try to enter bootloader mode:
Can you post a photo of the board top/bottom and packaging it came in? I'd like to determine if a batch of unprogrammed boards went out or if there was a possible assembly issue.
You can email [email protected] for a replacement. Be sure to provide your order# and this forum link as authorization.

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-tri ... rt-3091237To enter the bootloader, hold down the BOOT/BOOTSEL button (highlighted in red above), and while continuing to hold it (don't let go!), press and release the reset button (highlighted in blue above). Continue to hold the BOOT/BOOTSEL button until the RPI-RP2 drive appears!

Re: RP2040 Trinket not working
I tried the RST and BOOT button combination (as well as plugging it in the USB socket with BOOT pressed) but it doesn't make a difference (i.e. no UF2 drive).
I plugged in a sensor to the Stemma QT connector and the light on the sensor came on so the 3.3V regulator works.
It looks like that the board has no bootloader or it is dead.
I also attached the pictures you requested. Al the components seem to be stuffed.
Regards,
Klaus Ruff

Re: RP2040 Trinket not working
Thank you for trying manual bootloader and for the photos.
Based on the i2c illumination and the board assembly appears sound so probably a missing bootloader. Please contact [email protected] if you have not already for replacement.
