Basic Fingerprint Sensor with Socket Header Cable Not Working

Post by yipaud »

Hello,

I am currently working on trying to use a fingerprint sensor with my Raspberry Pi Pico. However, the fingerprint sensor is not lighting up nor connecting to my Pico. The PID is 4690 and my order number is #2292968-4794941265.

I purchased this item on January 7.

Any help is appreciated.

The yellow wire appears to be disconnected? That's the TX line.

https://www.adafruit.com/product/4690
Red is 3.3V power
Yellow is TTL Serial TX
White is TTL Serial RX
Black is Ground

Hello,

We tried using the yellow cable, and the fingerprint scanner does not light up. It does connect to the computer but is unable to scan the fingerprint so there is no input accepted.

Can you post a closer photo of the board showing the pins being used:

Also post (or link to) the complete code listing for what is being run on the board.
