Metro possible defective?

Post by creag »

This is my first metro board so its possible I'm just an idiot. But I've got the board powered with USB and I can program it. However when I just connect the barrel power connector the board doesn't power on (no lights no nothing). I measured 12V on the barrel connector and I measured 12V at the pin of the barrel connector on the board all looks good 12V. But VIN measures 0v. I suspect that because the ON LED isn't lit and I'm measuring 0V at VIN something wonky is going on?

Check the power switch next to the jack to ensure it is in the on position.

thank you sir. I didn't notice it for some reason. I shall refrain from deleting this thread out of sheer embarrassment in case it helps some future idiot like myself.

Don't worry, I missed the switch the first time I used one myself.
