Metro328 and adafruit 9V PS malfuntion

Post by mromero »

I am troubleshooting some issues i am having with the datalogger card and went back to test the most basic configuration which is the Metro ATmetga328 (product ID:50) with the adafruit 9V 1 Amp powersupply (PS) ( product id: P63)

With the PS connected i downloaded the example blink script to the metro and then removed the usb cable. I have tested 4 new Metro boards and the power LED only lights up when the USB cable is connected even though the PS was connected first. Also after i download the Blink sketch and removed the USB cable but kept the PS connected the blinking stopped.

I have tested the same PS used above with my original arduino and also the Sparkfun red board and both the blinking continues after you remove the USB cable. Is this not how the Metro board should have behaved?

Currently testing my other 4 Metro Boards.
