What does it mean when CPG shows Red and Blue?

Post by TechEd »

My class has been working with CPG and MakeCode the last few weeks. We noticed some programs start and then the CPG goes to a mix of blue and red LEDs and stops operating. What does this mean? It is usually the same pattern and I have tried multiple CPG devices....... I can attach a picture if helpful showing the blue red pattern..... D13 small red LED is flashing also...

Thanks

What are you calling a CPG? Sounds like a CircuitPlayground Express if you're using MakeCode.

What code are you running? A screenshot of the block code is probably good as long as it's readable.

A screenshot will have to wait a few days until I have the students back in class. I will add that this has happened with several different groups using different programs. Does the red/blue combo denote a programming/code error?

thats an internal error code - something 'crashed' inside of makecode. best bet is to post the code. sometimes this happens when people do wierd things with servos or detaching/attaching pins

Many thanks. One additional bit, maybe helpful, maybe not, the students have been using the temperature sensor and corresponding MakeCode blocks …… if temperature in F is greater than loops…

I don’t know if that’s pertinent.

we'd really need to see a screenshot of the code to be able to know whats happening

Just out of curiosity, could you load (or have you loaded) any programs that don't do that?
Maybe some Ardino IDE sample.
