Overheating

Post by kzigweid »

I teach a computer class and we were working with our Circuit playgrounds when one of the chips became extremely hot and started to overheat. I plugged the chip into my computer and it did the same thing. Do you know what would be causing this? This seems really dangerous so I do not want to keep using these chips if they could potentially burn my students.
Thanks

Which chip? Which model of CircuitPlayground? What were you doing at the time? Is this just one board? Did the board(s) pick up anything the could short something?
