I just purchased a Adafruit nRF52840 Feather express this week directly from Adafruit and it came with the following bootloader:
UF2 Bootloader 0.2.6 lib/nrfx (v1.1.0-1-g096e770) lib/tinyusb (legacy-525-ga1c59649) s140 6.1.1
Model: Adafruit Feather nRF52840 Express
Board-ID: NRF52-Bluefruit-v0
Bootloader: s140 6.1.1
Date: Dec 21 2018
Come on guys! Why was this shipped with such an old bootloader? This bootloader is over 5 years old! This means I can't update it using UF2. I don't have the correct JLink cables. Am I stuck unless I update it using JLink? Should I just return it? Is a V0 the latest board? Do you have instructions on how to update such an old board without JLink?
Thanks,
Jason Browne

Jason,
Updating the bootloader is a simple option from the Arduino IDE. No j-link required. You have the current shipping hardware.
