Adafruit Metro M7 with AirLift
Will the new M7 with AirLift allow me to load and edit CircuitPython programs wirelessly? As in, no longer needing a programming cable???

The native ESP32 boards allow for wireless CircuitPython web workflow. I’ve not seen a guide yet for any Airlift boards so you will need to remain tethered with a cable.

Will the Metro M7 work with the 2.8" TFT Cap shield? Does the Metro M7 have enough memory and power to use a GFX color canvas for the whole screen? I wasn't able to use the M0 with a whole screen color canvas.

Re: Adafruit Metro M7 with AirLift
I think you are good for memory with the Metro M7 and the Cap Touch TFT shield which 2.8”.
However, if you want to start moving towards untethered development look into the Metro ESP32-S2. It has a ton of memory, costs less and is still really fast. Plus you can use the native ESP webtools mentioned in earlier in this thread.

Oh wow! That's a much better choice. Still 5 times faster than the M0 and almost twice as cheap! Thank you.
Wonder when they will be back in stock?

Since other ESP32-S2 Adafruit boards are currently stocked that is a good sign. Probably a short wait since the chips are available.
