Check the I2C connection on the matrix board, they look to be off by 1. They are the two at the very end of the short side: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-15x ... ns-1953983

you da man, I totally missed that. Now to put it together and check the program. I did hook it up and turned on the switch and the matrix lit up. Thank you, I'll let you know when it's all together and working as intended.
