Defective NeoKey 1x4 QT I2C

Post by jkvato »

I bought a NeoKey 1x4 QT I2C but it seems to be defective. When I run the NeoKey simple test, I get the following error:

Code: Select all

ValueError: No I2C device at address: 0x30
When I do an I2C scan test, it doesn't report an address.

I connect it using the Stemma-QT connector. I have tried connecting it to various boards and various Stemma cables, but it won't work with any of them. Curiously, its power LED lights up when connected, and all other Stemma-QT devices down the daisy chain function fine. I have not altered the address jumpers, nor have I soldered the headers. The problem persists whether the NeoKey is the only Stemma device connected to the board, or whether there are multiple devices.

Could there be something I'm overlooking?

I think you already answered all the questions I'd have, and did all the things I'd ask you to. Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread, your order number, and request the replacement of one NeoKey 1x4.
