Hello , i knew how to do this once but i forgot how i did and how i found out how to do this. i need to pair a replacement remote to the simple rf reciever marked "R02A" unlike the relay type there is no button to pair with but if iirc there is a pin or contact to short against that acts like the pairing button.
any feedback or guidance to appropriate online manual is appreciated
i am using the receiver to remotely actuate a arduino type motion controller

Re: pairing new remote to Simple RF M4 Receiver
Those don't do any pairing. A new transmitter should work with any receiver automatically.
Instead, the tricky part is getting a receiver to ignore a transmitter. That's done by setting the address bits on both boards.
On the back of the reciever, and inside any keyob, are rows of 8 pads with contacts on either side. The radio chip can tell if the pads in the center are connected high, low, or not connected at all, giving a total of 3^8 (about 65000) possible addresses. A receiver will only listen to transmitters that have the same address.
