Cannot get Metro to work with Arduino IDE

Post by TonyEllis »

Hi Friends - I have just started to look at more powerful Arduinos and have purchased a Metro Express and a Metro M4 and I just cannot get the IDE to download any code?
I have checked all the documentation that I can find on the Metro's but everything I have tried has failed.
If I do the quick reset push to check the bootloader all I get is one red flash (not 3)? This is the case with both boards so maybe the bootloader is not resident?

The yellow TX LED flashes continuously?

Any help from you smart Arduino folks would be most welcome!

Do you have the required board support packages installed? See https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-met ... md51/setup. Do you have the correct board selected?
