Ultimate GPS Logger shield - RTC access?

Post by curly_bracket »

Hi

I have this shield up and running nicely on my Uno R3. Through the example codes and my own I can get it to save GPS data to the SD card [and import to Excel and Google Maps to confirm].

The problem is it creates files with file date "2000-01-01 12:00am". I have the battery in and the GPS has had hundreds of fixes so the RTC should be set. I tested the battery and its 2.95 volts.

a. Should the file dates be correct or am I assuming too much?
b. How do I access the date and time directly from the RTC?

Thanks

curly

Could you post your code that gives you the error?
