Adafruit IO Website - Feed Settings on Mobile

Post by spovlot »

This Settings section/menu doesn't work for me on Android or my laptop in smaller size (both Chrome).

I assume it is supposed to show options like this part on "desktop".

Otherwise, I don't have access to this info on mobile or smaller browser sizes.

Scott,

Silly question, but I don't have an Android device to try this on. When you rotate the screen from portrait to landscape are you able to see and access the Feed settings?

Same in landscape. Also this happens on smaller window size on my Windows laptop as mentioned above.

Are you able to zoom out on the Android browser using this suggestion from google. I'm assuming if the web page is small enough the rest of the content will appear just like in your small windows browser scenario.
How do I zoom out on my Android browser?

Zoom in or out on your current page
On your Android device, open Chrome .
At the top right, tap More. Settings.
Select Accessibility.
Next to “Text scaling,” drag the slider until you can read the example text comfortably. Tip: To zoom in on pages that try to prevent zoom, check “Force enable zoom.”

That Accessibility setting seems to have no effect on the io.adafruit.com site from what I can tell.

Can you reproduce my problem? Does the "Settings" button on mobile work on your setup? I even tried using the site on an iPhone with the same results.

Good point about the sidebar not working on the iPhone. I tried my iPad which worked fine with Chrome bringing up the side bar, but my iPhone could not (Chrome and Safari tested).

I will contact engineering.

The Adafruit IO team has been contacted and opened an internal issue to make the sidebar appear on iPhone / Android devices.
