64x32 matrix showing colored rectangles that don't go away
Here is a picture showing the results of demo program using -D0 with raspberry pi 3 B+ and Adafruit RGB Matrix HAT + RTChttps://1drv.ms/i/s!AsOjLyx6vGkJiW34-I2 ... 5?e=P95Tny. I see the note "The demos kinda run, but I’m seeing weird rectangles and glitches" suggesting changing the --led-slowdown-gpio value, but all values 0-5 produce the same image issue. When using the demo with -D4 https://1drv.ms/i/s!AsOjLyx6vGkJiW6Ah3Y ... g?e=10TLdM or other animated demos only the far right corner 16x16 shows the demo. When using demo program I send the --led-rows=32 --led-cols=64 values but doesn't seem to matter. I tried 64x64 as a test but see the same exact results. Hat is powered with a separate 5 volt power supply and tried with and without using separate power to the PI. During the software install I selected Quality vs. Convenience (don't care about audio) and I did solder a jumper wire between GPIO 4 and 18. While writing this post I unplugged and replugged the ribbon cable multiple times, and as you can see from this videohttps://1drv.ms/v/s!AsOjLyx6vGkJiXCkM6L ... A?e=fdmIPA the display changes every time finally ending with -D4 right corner 16x16 demo. Thinking its a solder issue I re-soldered it all the points. Same issue.

What are you using for a power supply to the Matrix Hat?
On my Pi 3B+ I needed to use these args to get a smooth demo -D0

Code: Select all
--led-cols=64 --led-slowdown-gpio=4
