Hey everyone. I've a newbie and only used some adafruit stuff once or twice, but feeling a bit overwhelmed in selecting parts for my newest neopixel wearable costume (light up minecraft creeper). Could you please help me with choosing parts?
I'm hoping to have two short neopixel RGB strips, one which will display a repeating pattern on one output, and the other strip will respond to loud music on a dancefloor via a microphone. It would be powered by my 5v battery via usb cable. My friend + chatgpt will help me with coding, and i'm confident with picking the strips but not the controller, and compatible microphone.
Thanks!

Take a look at these guides which have the elements of what you are describing. It would be a good idea to build things up in sections so you can get each part working before merging them together. The guides have complete component lists (bill of material BOM).
