Just got USB C Extension cable 5220. I'm using it to extend my Yubikey to an easier-to-reach position.
When I first plugged in the cable, then the key, the lights on the key just continually flashed rapidly, and the key did not respond to touches. On a whim, I pulled the key, and reversed it, it worked perfectly. I pulled the cable from the computer and reversed that, the key still worked. I pulled the key from the cable and reversed it again, and it went back to the rapid flashing.
So it appears to be something specific to the female/device end of the cable.
It's working for me, so I don't plan on returning it, but it seems like something that Adafruit should check in case the batch is defective.
USB C Cable not completely reversible
