Air Pump and Vacuum DC Motor

Post by joerse »

Hi,
I would like to deliver ~3.5 ml/min of air at a pressure of 0.2-1 bar at a steady pace without major fluctuations (strokes). Is it possible to lower the air flow from the standard 1.8 l/min?

Any diaphragm or piston type pump will exhibit some pulsing of the pressure at the output. To achieve a steady flow, you can use the pump to pressurize a tank, then use a pressure regulator valve on the output. I'd check with air-brush suppliers for a low-pressure regulator.
