Device Descriptor Request failed when plugging in ItsyBitsyM4
I bought the ItsyBitsyM4 back in September from a distributor and it has been working flawlessly up until now. I unplugged the board to stop data from being sent to the serial monitor but once I plugged it back in my PC refused to connect to it and when I check device manager it no longer appeared under Ports (COM&LPT) and was now under Universal Serial Bus controllers. I have tried changing the cable and verified that the cables work by plugging in a webcam and PS4 controller. Also I have tried double pressing the RST button and the Red LED does start pulsing and I can see a drive called ITSYM4BOOT. I have checked other forum posts and saw one detailing a way to fix this problem by enabling verbose messages in upload then uploading the Blink sketch without selecting a Port (I am using Arduino IDE v2.1.0). However, when I don't select a Port and hit upload I get an error message saying: "Failed uploading: no upload port provided". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Device Descriptor Request failed when plugging in ItsyBitsyM4
I downloaded Arduino IDE v1.8 and tested this out with the Blink sketch. When I double pressed the RST button the ItsyBitsyM4 was recognized as a USB Serial Device on COM8 and the Blink sketch successfully uploaded (when I single pressed nothing happened). However once I tried to upload code from Arduino IDE v2.1 the ItsyBitsyM4 went back to the state it had been before as soon as the code had been compiled and the upload failed with the error message: "Port monitor error: command 'open' failed: Serial Port not found. Could not connect to COM8 serial port"DanielR675 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 5:15 pm I have checked other forum posts and saw one detailing a way to fix this problem by enabling verbose messages in upload then uploading the Blink sketch without selecting a Port (I am using Arduino IDE v2.1.0).
