Arduino IDE stopped recognizing my Grand Central boards through USB

Post by silvermanphoto »

Hi! I can't figure out why Arduino IDE stopped recognizing my Grand Central boards. The board doesn't appear on IDE, all IDE sees are my Bluetooth serial ports, not the USB serial.

I have tried multiple Grand Central M4 Express boards that have both worked previously. I've tried all the obvious things (the green LED is glowing, I have tried multiple good USB cables, I can see all three of my USB 3.1 Bus ports on my Mac, and I uninstalled and reinstalled the Adafruit SAMD Board driver.)

Can you please suggest what to try next?

Try double-clicking the Grand Central's reset button. Do you see any response on USB, even temporarily?

Also try putting a cheap/old USB-2 hub between the computer and the Grand Central. Microcontrollers can have problems with the high-speed data on USB-3 ports.
