I am writing in reference to my order 3063540-2880343448 (Adafruit Matrix Portal Starter Kit - ADABOX 016 Essentials).
The LED lights on this device do not appear to be working. I have connected the U-hook wires to the chip and to the circuit board per instructions (see attached photos). I have successfully downloaded and installed circuitpy - at this point I believe I should be getting some response from the lights.
I have tried many times resetting, erasing the filesystem, and starting from scratch. The status indicator is green here, so I am thinking the LED board might be faulty. It has not once lit up
Any and all guidance is appreciated - thanks in advance

Re: Faulty LED?
If you have an Arduino Mega, I suggest you test the 64x32 RGB LED Matrix separately. If it does not work anyway, I think you should proceed for a replacement: https://www.adafruit.com/contact_us

Re: Faulty LED?
If you mean the LEDs on the RGB matrix panel, then more needs to be done. CircuitPython is just the firmware. To actually get the RGB matrix to show anything, CircuitPython code to drive the RGB matrix also needs to be loaded.
The guide here explains how to get the RGB matrix running with CircuitPython:

If you want a quick sanity check that the RGB matrix is OK, there are precompiled example UF2 available here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-mat ... /downloads
These UF2 files can be dragged to the MATRIXBOOT folder once the board has been in bootloader mode.
