Hello all,
I have been trining to install PiTFT 2.8c on Debian for Raspberry Pi (https://raspi.debian.net/) without much luck. I have seen many threads on here with mods saying it’s impossible to develop for every OS but I think they are looking at it the wrong way, it would be better if developed OS-independent (stop hardcoding paths etc and/or include or instruct to install necessary files), and just focus on the kernel as most use the same/similar. In any case, I’m going off topic, my question is has anyone gotten Adafruit’s PiTFT to work with any other OS other than Raspberry Pi OS? I am sure it is possible with some tweaking to the code but would like to hear from others.
Thanks! 🙂

It seems that libraspberrypi-bin and libraspberrypi-dev are where the installation stops. Is there a way to get these into Debian for Raspberry Pi?
