AA FX Sound Board not showing up on MAC/PC; Green Light ON but no sound when triggered.

Tested everything before the final connection... everything worked fine. Began to solder and mount and still, all went well... connected the momentary button (to close circuit (sound)+(ground)) worked fine for 4 out of 20 sounds then NOTHING. Was not able to trigger any sounds when connected to Mac and PC soundboard was not recognized anymore.

Sounds don't play when USB is attached.

Odd that it doesn't show up. Have you confirmed that the switches were between the trigger pin and ground?

Affirmative. "Weird" is what I said as well.. followed by a mouth full of absurdities. I disconnected everything even de-soldering the board from all wires.. breadboarded to see if there was something wrong with the wiring (which I know was not the case, but for the sake of troubleshooting I went through the process), and NOTHING. The same results. Powerlight is ON but not able to get sound to play nor able to see the device when connected to a computer (MAC/PC). One thing I have noticed since I last posted is the processor (see pic) is getting super hot.

Hot often means (in my experience) that something got toasted in the chip, often due to shorting something, overvoltaging something, or zapping it in some other way.

so in haste I ordered a new AAFXSB... Recon Connected everything and worked fine. I just received a BAD Soundboard...
