There are three issues with the x0xb0x clicking:
1. VCA offset. "Thump"-Sound. Add a trimmer. (Well known patch, AFAIK the original 303 solves that by using selected "low offset" VCA chips. )
2. too fast attack. This adds random clicking note attacks (some notes click, some not), depended where the (free running) VCO signal is "switched on".
( find modification here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=59717&p=386419#p380532 )
3. a nasty very short = high frequent "click" which is there even w/o signal. (Neither saw nor square. ) Does not get better with (reasonable) slow envelopes.
I just found a fix for #3:
You might increase the 10nF (to 33nF) and solve 2.&3. with a single patch. But this makes *both* attacks slower, accented and not accented ones.
(It does not sound much different, but it is audible. We are talking about 1..5 milliseconds here ... )
