Neopixel led question

Post by PreciousRoy »

Hello,

I was wondering if the leds used in the neopixels also have a variation with IR
i know there is a RGBW so there is a forth channel, so is there a RGB IR led?

I am using a led ring to take pictures with a raspberry pi. and i can get a camera without the ir filter. if would be cool if the same leds would have ir so i dont need to use separate leds.

greetings.

I don't know of any with IR built-in. It is possible to get the WS2811 driver chip separate from the LEDs, so you can roll-your-own.
