Trinket 5v - Please select a Port before Upload error

Post by stonemarten »

Dear support,

I've just bought the trinket 5v and I'm already running in troubles, I hope that you can kindly help me

I've followed all the instructions in your website, and when I'm trying to run the first test of the blinking test, I've the following error message

Arduino: 1.8.7 (Windows 10), Board: "Adafruit Trinket (ATtiny85 @ 8MHz)"

Build options changed, rebuilding all
Sketch uses 700 bytes (13%) of program storage space. Maximum is 5310 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes of dynamic memory.
Please select a Port before Upload

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

morevoer, by mistake, I clicked the "burn bootloader" and now the trinket keeps the red led constantly blinking instead of switching off every 10 second, with the "USB plug in sound" heard every 10 seconds or so

could you please help me?

thanks in advance

cheers

[Edit] use Arduino 1.6.x fix the problem...
