Hi,
I have the following problem with my kit after soldering. The green LED give 4 flash signals in a distance of a secound, then it flashes slower. When pressing the button the kit doesn't work on the TV. Looking on the IR LED with a camera is see them flashing from time to time in short bursts but with no connection to the button.
Batteries are full. Transistors are checked. What can I do?
Robert

Re: TV-Gone kit not working
Good morning, I read on your list of TV-B-Gone Kit components (https://learn.adafruit.com/tv-b-gone-kit/parts-list) that the microcontroller preprogrammed when purchased in a kit but unprogrammed when not purchased from Adafruit. What does it mean? Could there be problems for those who purchased TV-B-Gone Kit with Amazon? Thanks for the answers, Mario Rossi

@Beringeria Sorry for missing this post. What happens to the green LED right after pressing the button? It's not clear in your original info how the blinks are changing with button press.

When I press the button on the kit it starts to repeat flashing 4 times with a secound break.

Re: TV-Gone kit not working
It sounds like it's generally working. See the usage steps here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/tv-b-gone-kit/use-it
Think of the button as a "reset" and not a "send". When you press the button, it resets the chip. After reset (when you release the button), it then cycles through all the pre-programmed OFF codes stored in the device. During that time, you should see activity on the IR LEDs if viewed with a camera. The green LED will blink for each code sent. When the green LED goes out, the IR LEDs are no longer sending.

Re: TV-Gone kit not working
OK, we may simply be hitting an issue with certain TVs and/or newer models having codes not supported by the TV-B-Gone.
A replacement would simply do the same thing. We can refund your money. Send an email to [email protected] with a link to this thread and your order number and they can take care of you.
