Need help with Ladyada Sim Reader

Post by zeeekay »

Hi... I found the Sim Reader at Ladyada.net.. So following the schematic, I designed PCB and fabricated it to end..
Now the problem is that when I connect Sim reader with Com Port, I get Error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "pySimReader.py", line 267, in buttonConnectReader
File "pySIMserial.pyc", line 111, in connectReader
File "pySIMserial.pyc", line 160, in openSession
TypeError: ord() expected a character, but string of length 0 found

I am using 74LS04 (Low power Schotkey) not Gate IC.. The crystal is 3.57945 MHz.. I have cross checked connections time and again but it did'nt work.. Please help...

I have the same problem and I did buy a kit. Then I soldered it in a pub. Does that count?
