Industrial Controller with CircuitPython

Hi -
Per the CircuitPython Newsletter, I thought I'd post a thought for 2021. #CircuitPython2021
I'd like to see a couple industrial capable controllers take up CircuitPython as a programming language.
I've been looking at the Automation Direct's Open Productivity (https://www.automationdirect.com/open-source/home) and I really like it. However I'd prefer to build my next system with Python and not C/Arduino. So I'm hoping newer processor can come out and some images made for easy install and support.
I also like the controllers from Norvi: https://norvi.lk
They claim they can run micropython, and with the new ESP-S2, perhaps the NORVI IIOT can run CircuitPython.
I'd love to hear of anyone else with industrial I/O/controllers and running CircuitPython. By industrial I mean rugged, 12/24VDC or 120VAC, etc level I/O in a commercial product. Let me know.
